Break-Out Session #3: Best Practices in Aging in Place

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

Feedback form is now closed.
Our Aging in Place Cohort launched in February. Approximately 50 participants learned abut reframing aging, ethics of serving older adults, aging in place program & funding models, and advocating for funding and policies that support aging in place. Most of the participants also became Certified Aging in Place Specialists (CAPS) which included trainings about universal design. The cohort has developed an addendum to our Best Practices Guide that summarizes the most important things they learned about each of the topics mentioned above.

In this session, two cohort members will share about their experience with the program and about their organization's best practices related to aging in place. Then we'll introduce the aging in place addendum to the Best Practices Guide and provide time for everyone to complete the self-assessment of their organization. We'll conclude by sharing feedback about the addendum and self-assessment. If there's time, attendees will be invited to share their organization's best practices related to aging in place.

Thank you to RRF Foundation for Aging for sponsoring this session!
